Responsible for creating an exceptional lending experience by providing appropriate decisions on all consumer loan requests including auto loans, motorcycle loans, recreational vehicle loans, boat loans, HELOCs and unsecured loans in a timely and accurate manner. Works with members and staff from all channels including branch, communication center, online, and dealership to review submitted applications for suitability to Harborstone’s current lending policies and goals. Adheres to established loan policies, policies, laws, and regulations while demonstrating unwavering commitment to Harborstone’s mission, vision and values.
Upholds legal, regulatory and compliance requirements unique to the role, in addition to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC, and Information Security policies and procedures. Completes annually required compliance related courses as established by Harborstone Credit Union policies and/or practices.

Maximum $39.74
Applicant with desired knowledge, skills and abilities can anticipate $29.81 - $31.80
Completes annually required Product and Process Knowledge competency testing, in addition to job related courses as established by Harborstone Credit Union policies and/or practices.

Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
Request and review supporting documentation in order to validate aspects of the presented credit file.
Evaluate member income documentation to include paystubs and personal tax returns.
Adhere to all stated lending policy and procedure.
Identify application and credit trends with the intent to inform management.
Work in a HYBRID environment through the use of multiple technologies, tactics and approaches.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Certification:
Three years’ experience in a Consumer Underwriter, or similar, role for a financial institution required. High school diploma preferred.
