Responsibilities

The Cash Management Officer is responsible for coordinating and directing cash management sales activities, including developing new cash/treasury management business and expanding existing relationships. They coordinate business referrals, respond to members, and transfer referrals to the correct team, providing continuous updates. They assist in analyzing and evaluating potential solutions through cost-benefit analysis, working with the Business Lender and Credit Administration to assess risks. They ensure team members are informed of business needs and solutions, assist in pricing and negotiation of cash management products, and help optimize relationship profitability. They also assist in cash management reviews with clients and present cash management components. They support branches, Business Lenders, and other Cash Management Officers with business development efforts, providing product and technical expertise to Business Members, the Member Experience Team, and the Business Lending Team. They manage cash management referrals and assist with servicing needs. They coach and train Member Experience staff on cash management products and services, helping develop referral skills.


The position requires effective communication by phone and email to reach out to business members regarding referrals and other products and services. They maintain extensive product knowledge, including those provided through all business units and third parties. They focus on Harborstone's mission and purpose, making appropriate recommendations for both consumer and business products and services to promote a growing financial cooperative. They actively manage relationships with Merchant
Card Service and Payroll vendors, strategizing with the business team on referral and sales efforts to contribute to the Cash Management team's growth goals. They participate in community events to build brand recognition and share Harborstone’s mission and purpose. Other duties as assigned.
They uphold legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements unique to the role, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC, and Information Security policies and procedures. They complete annually required compliance-related courses as established by Harborstone Credit Union policies and practices. They also complete Product and Process Knowledge competency testing and job-related courses as required.

Education/Experience/Certification:


2 years of Business Banking experience and any other combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job.

 

Completion of Harborstone’s internal training systems as required.

 

High school diploma required.
