Overview

The Vice President (VP) of Impact is a strategic and visionary leader responsible for advancing the organization’s mission through impactful community development, strategic partnerships, and philanthropic initiatives. The VP of Impact will lead the design and execution of programs that align with internal pillars and ensure measurable outcomes in community engagement, financial wellness, and housing initiatives.

 

Compensation: 

Minimum $96,600/year

Maximum $138,000/year

 

Applicant with a desired mix of knowledge, skills, and abilities could anticipate $96,600 - $110,400

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a SMART strategic plan for community impact, aligned with the credit union’s mission and strategic goals.

 

  • Manage and cultivate relationships with CDFI vendors and partners to support community investment strategies.

 

  • Oversee the grant application lifecycle, including development, submission, tracking, and reporting.

 

  • Direct and support the Community Development team in executing financial literacy programs, volunteer initiatives, and community events.

 

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for community and business development initiatives.

 

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment and integration of community impact strategies.

 

  • Represent the organization in community forums, partnerships, and events to promote visibility and engagement.

 

  • Develop and manage the community development platform (e.g., Kadince) and ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

 

  • Coordinate internal and external affinity groups and employee engagement in community initiatives.

 

  • Provide timely and accurate analyses of budgets, project proposals, and business trends.

 

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership in community development, strategic partnerships, and philanthropic program management.

 

  • Experience managing CDFI relationships and grant processes.

 

  • 6+ years in progressive leadership roles with a track record of mentoring high-performing teams.

 

  • Strong analytical, budgeting, and project management skills.

 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and community engagement platforms.

 

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

 

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

 

  • Attributes of humility, hunger for growth, and emotional intelligence.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary to meet objectives.


Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
