Overview

The Branch Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of a single branch while delivering consistent, high‑quality member experiences. This role focuses on direct team leadership, coaching, and execution of operational and service standards. The Branch Manager I ensures compliance with policies and procedures, supports branch sales and service goals, and resolves routine member and operational issues. This position operates with regular guidance and partnership from the District Manager and is foundational to developing strong people leadership skills.

 

Compensation:

Minimum $72,600.57

Maximum $108,900.85

 

Placement in the pay scale will be determined by experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

·         Lead Branch Operations: Provide branch leadership and operational oversight to ensure consistency, service quality, and compliance.

·         Develop Teams: Coach, mentor, and develop branch managers and staff, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.

·         Member Experience Leadership: Drive exceptional and consistent member experiences through coaching, feedback, and service expectations.

·         Sales and Growth: Support achievement of sales and service goals while guiding teams in conducting financial needs assessments and cross-serving.

·         Community Engagement: Represent Harborstone within assigned communities, building partnerships and expanding visibility.

·         Risk and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements including BSA, AML, OFAC, and information security policies.

·         Problem Resolution: Serve as escalation point for complex member concerns, ensuring timely and empathetic resolution.

·         Training and Development: Identify and address training needs related to products, systems, service, and procedures.

·         Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Other Responsibilities

·      Complete all required annual compliance and security training.

·      Travel regularly between assigned branch locations.

·      Safeguard member confidentiality and sensitive data.

Qualifications

1.   Education:

·      High school diploma required: Essential

2.   Experience:

·      3+ years of experience in preferably within financial services.

3.   Technical Skills:

·      Proficiency in core banking systems, Microsoft Office, and financial service tools.

4.   Soft Skills:

·      Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Considerations

·      Ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written, and electronic formats with internal and external stakeholders.

·      Ability to read, comprehend, and respond to written and verbal instructions and information.

·      May be required to sit or stand for extended periods, depending on job duties.

·      May involve repetitive motions, including keyboarding and handling office equipment.

·      May require stooping, bending, squatting, or reaching occasionally.

·      May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

·      Ability to navigate office environments, including walking between workstations, meeting rooms, and member service areas.

·      Regular travel between assigned branch locations required.
